From Waste To Treasure
Recycling has never been more exciting! With the Cash-For-Trash programme by Veolia, residents can now turn in their collected recyclables for some cash instead of throwing them away mindlessly.
The Cash-For-Trash programme was launched in May 2014, and it aims to encourage residents to recycle, as a collaborative effort to better care for the environment.
When one recycles, it helps to reduce the pollution caused by the amount of waste. Items made out of materials like aluminum can be recycled by melting them down and then made into new products all over again.
As part of the initiative, Veolia has provided 13 recycling stations within the proximity of HDB estates in Tampines, at the convenience of residents. There is no better incentive to save our environment than getting paid to do so, so let us make good use out of this opportunity!
